Bright Smiles, Healthy Lives: Oral Health for Women Over 50

Dental check-ups

The “Bright Smiles, Healthy Lives: Oral Health for Women Over 50” project is a preventive health initiative designed to improve oral health awareness, access to care, and overall well-being among women aged 50 and above. Recognizing that oral health is closely linked to general health, this project focuses on educating women about age-related dental challenges such as gum disease, tooth loss, dry mouth, osteoporosis-related oral complications, and the impact of chronic conditions like diabetes on oral health.

Through targeted education sessions, community outreach programs, preventive screenings, and personalized oral health guidance, the project empowers women to adopt healthier oral hygiene practices and seek timely dental care. It also promotes collaboration between dental professionals and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

The initiative aims to enhance quality of life, boost self-confidence, and support healthy aging by reducing preventable oral diseases and encouraging lifelong oral wellness. By addressing an often-overlooked aspect of women’s health, this project creates a sustainable model for community-based preventive care and demonstrates measurable impact in improving both oral and overall health outcomes.
