A social media campaign was created by Mohammad bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health dental intern students with the aim of reaching United Arab Emirates residents. The campaign covered all public categories and touched on significant issues using a life course approach. The subjects focused on maintaining healthy teeth and gums, giving dentists aftercare recommendations, resolving issues affecting the community, and the connection between general and oral health. The upstream strategy (prevention and early detection of dental problems) rather than the downstream approach was one of the concepts that the campaign helped to instill in our future dentists.
