As a part of the world oral health day campaign the National Oral health Programme Puducherry organised a puppet show at the beach near Gandhi Thidal. This was a creative and engaging way to spread awareness about oral health and hygiene.
The Deputy Director IEC was the chief guest for this event and State Nodal Officer - NTCP & NTEP was the guest of honour. Their presence showed their commitment towards oral health and it made the event made the event more impactful.
Around 450 people participated in this mega event. Pamphlets reiterating the importance of oral health were also distributed which ensured that the message stays with the audience even after the event.
The event also saw participation from all the dental surgeons posted in the various health facilities of Puducherry, staff and dental surgeons from Mobile dental Unit and students from Indira Gandhi institute of dental sciences public health dentistry department.
Such initiatives play a crucial role in promoting oral health in our communities. Nearly 700 benefited from this event.
