An Oral Awareness Class and Screening Camp was conducted at the NCD Clinic, CHC Palloor, as part of the World Oral Health Day celebrations on 26th March 2025. Around 20 people benefited from the event, gaining valuable insights into oral health and receiving essential screening services.
Both diabetes and hypertension can increase the risk of gum disease (periodontal disease). High blood sugar levels in diabetics make it harder for the body to fight infections, and poorly controlled diabetes can lead to an increased risk of oral infections. Hypertension can also contribute to poor oral health by affecting blood flow and immunity. This camp aimed at educating both diabetic and hypertensive individuals to maintain good oral hygiene for a healthier life.
