On the occasion of World Oral Health Day 2026, an oral health awareness session was conducted for PIMS Nursing third-year studentsThe session focused on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. Proper brushing techniques were demonstrated to ensure effective daily oral care. Information regarding common dental problems during pregnancy and the importance of oral health in antenatal care was also explained in detail.In addition, awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco on oral and general health was provided. Students were educated about various dental procedures carried out at PHC Kalapet, helping them understand the available treatment services at the primary healthcare level. Total 35 students benefited.A signature campaign was organized to promote commitment toward good oral hygiene practices. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their doubts.The program was informative and actively participated in by the students.
