NOHP puducherry -an oral screening and treatment camp was conducted at the AAM - PHC -Abhishegapakkam

On 08.04.2026, an oral health awareness and screening camp was successfully conducted for antenatal *(ANC)* mothers AAM - PHC  Abhishegapakkam. The program aimed to promote the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene during pregnancy and its impact on overall health. A detailed awareness session was delivered, highlighting proper oral care practices, common dental problems during pregnancy, and preventive measures.
A live demonstration of correct brushing technique was carried out using dental models to educate both ANC mothers and the general public. Participants were encouraged to adopt healthy oral hygiene habits in their daily routine. An oral health *pledge* was administered at the beginning of the program, where the general public actively participated and committed to maintaining good oral health practices.
Screening services were provided to identify existing dental issues, and appropriate advice and referrals were given. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation and contributed to improving awareness and preventive oral healthcare practices among the 48 beneficiaries.
