NOHP Puducherry- A special dental orientation session was conducted for the college students of *Indirani college of nursing , Ariyur

24/3/26 Dental - PHC Nettapakkam # WOHD 2026 Celebration in collaboration with Indrani College Of Nursing, Venkateswara Campus, Ariyur. 
1. An *Awareness session* on the significance of oral health for overall wellness was conducted to the ICON - GNM and ANM students. Topics like Dos and Don'ts in oral care, Harmful effects of Tobacco and its vulnerability among adolescents & Common dental problems and its management were explained. Brushing techniques were demonstrated using dental models and posters. 
2. The * Poster presentations* were done by the students . Topics like oral hygiene measures, common dental problems and its management, Tobacco use and its oral manifestations, Dental emergencies and its management, stages of decay & Signs and symptoms of oral cancer were highlighted.
3. A **song* was composed by the students on oral hygiene aimed for good oral behaviours.
4. A *drama* was played by the students with the theme "A happy mouth is a happy life". Role of sugars and poor oral health practices and its impact on oral health were highlighted. Good oral hygiene practices and self oral examination were emphasised.
5. A *dance* was performed by the students. The moves aimed to reflect good oral hygiene practices .
6. A " Villupattu - On Oral Hygiene"* was organized by the students to highlight the importance of oral hygiene with The theme "A happy mouth is a happy life ." The program gained great attention from the patients and motivated desired oral health behaviours.
7. Oral hygiene pledge was taken by the students.
8. Oral health pamphlets and posters were distributed. 
Health Staff: 1 Dental Surgeon, 2 Medical officers, 2 Nursing Officers ,1 Dental Assistant, 1 Health Assistant, 1 Lab technician, 1 ANM and 2 ASHAs
