NOHP Puducherry - State level science Exhibition at Sinnatha Govt Girls Higher secondary school Muthilapet

The Regional Science Exhibition was successfully conducted at Sinnatha Government Girls Higher Secondary School,Muthiyalpet , organized by Dr. Sivakumar A.S.Directorate of School Education(DSE), Smt.V.G.SivagamiJoint Director (JD)of School Education  Government of Puducherry. The exhibition aimed to encourage scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation among students while providing a platform to showcase their talents and knowledge in science and technology.

The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Governor of Puducherry.
Various schools from the region actively participated in the exhibition, presenting innovative science models, working projects, and creative exhibits related to environmental science, health, technology, and sustainable development. The exhibition provided an excellent learning opportunity for students to interact, exchange ideas, and develop scientific curiosity.
As part of the exhibition, the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) stall was set up to create awareness about oral hygiene and preventive dental care. The stall displayed informative charts, models, and educational materials focusing on the importance of oral health, proper brushing techniques, prevention of dental caries, and harmful effects of tobacco use. Pamphlets and informative poster distribution done.
Overall, the Regional Science Exhibition was a grand success, fostering scientific temperament among students and emphasizing the significance of health awareness, especially oral health, in building a healthier future generation. Totally,  350 science exhibits participated from various government - primary,  middle,    high school,  higher secondary , aided and private schools . Nearly 650 students and teachers visited the stall.
