
On the occasion of World Oral Health Day (11th March 2025), an Oral Health Education Camp was successfully conducted at Kanakalapeta High School, Yanam.

Highlights of the Program:
1. Brushing Techniques Demonstration:
Proper brushing techniques were demonstrated using dental models to help students understand the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
2. Oral Hygiene Awareness Talk:
A detailed talk was delivered on oral hygiene instructions, emphasizing the importance of regular brushing, flossing, and maintaining a balanced diet for healthy teeth and gums.
3. Impact of Tobacco on Health and Society:
Students were educated about the harmful effects of tobacco use on oral and overall health. The session focused on raising awareness about the social and health consequences of tobacco consumption.
4. Oral Screening and Fluoride Application:
An oral screening was conducted for all participating students to identify any dental issues. Fluoride application was also performed to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities.
The camp benefited over 250 students by increasing awareness about oral hygiene and promoting preventive dental care. The students actively participated in the demonstration and discussions, showing keen interest in improving their oral health habits.
The Oral Health Education Camp was highly successful in creating awareness about oral health among school children.
