NOPH Puducherry -An oral health awareness and anti-tobacco program and screening camp was conducted for NCD patients at AAM PHC Murungapakkam.

On the occasion of *World Oral Health Day* and *_World TB Day* ,_ an oral health awareness and anti-tobacco program and screening camp was conducted for *NCD* patients at *AAM PHC Murungapakkam* on _24.03.2026_ . The program aimed to highlight the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and the harmful effects of tobacco use, especially in relation to tuberculosis and overall health.
During the session, participants were educated on proper oral care practices, early signs of oral diseases, and the risks associated with tobacco consumption, including oral cancer and worsening of TB conditions.IEC posters were distributed to reinforce key messages and encourage healthy lifestyle changes.
A signature campaign was also organized to promote a tobacco-free lifestyle and raise community awareness. The initiative saw active participation from patients, with nearly *96* beneficiaries gaining valuable knowledge. Overall, the program contributed to improving awareness and encouraging preventive health practices among the community.
