Oral Health Instructors in Mongolia!

Lecture

Hello everyone! We are Misheel Kids Foundation from Mongolia, and we are very happy to be part of World Oral Health Day.

As an NGO dedicated to improving children’s oral health, we have been providing free dental check-ups and treatments to children in need since 2016—especially those living in suburban and remote areas of Mongolia.

So far, we have gifted healthy smiles to over 21,000 children, completely free of charge. Our journey continues to grow stronger every year.

Because we strongly believe in the power of prevention, we place great emphasis on oral health education. To support this, we launched the “Dental Education Trek” project, which aims to train teachers, doctors, and staff from local schools, kindergartens, and health centers across provinces to become “Oral Health Instructors.”

These trained instructors then share oral health knowledge within their communities, reaching children and families across towns and throughout the entire province.

So far, our project has reached two provinces, where we have trained a total of 180 Oral Health Instructors who are now actively promoting healthy smile education.

This milestone in expanding oral health education at the provincial level has inspired other provinces to reach out and join the “Dental Education Trek.”

We are truly encouraged to see a growing understanding that prevention through education is just as important—if not more important—than treatment.
