Summary of 2026 World Oral Health Day Activities at the Oral Health Science Popularization Base (Southwest Hospital)

I. Main Activities
In March, our unit carried out a series of promotional activities centered on the theme “Oral Health for Overall Health.” Free clinic stations were set up in Zhongliang Town and Lianfang Community, where dental professionals provided residents with complimentary oral examinations, personalized treatment recommendations, and blood pressure checks. An educational lecture was held at Yuelai Ecological City Kindergarten, where children were taught proper toothbrushing techniques and caries prevention through interactive methods such as tooth model demonstrations and engaging games. These activities focused on key populations—the elderly and children.

II. Key Outcomes
The activities served over 200 people, distributed over 100 oral health education materials and oral care products, and identified over 30 cases requiring further dental treatment, with referral recommendations provided. The kindergarten session reached over 60 children and staff, effectively enhancing children’s awareness of oral health and their ability to care for their own teeth. The activities effectively addressed the oral health needs of community residents, received high praise from both community members and the kindergarten, and helped foster a positive atmosphere for health promotion.
