South African Dental Association – #Brush and Boggie campaign - A happy mouth is A happy Body

On the 13 and 19 March 2024 the South African Dental Association in collaboration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Gauteng Department of Health and Dental Institutions will celebrate World Oral Health Day (WOHD). Dental students from the University will be part of the project. These students will comprise of Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Oral Hygiene, and Bachelor of Dental therapy students.

The events will be a school-based community project at a primary school in Kagiso and Pretoria.  The following oral health services will be provided.

1. Oral health education/awareness
2. Dental screening
3. Emergency Oral health care
4. Fissure sealant programme.
