A Healthy Mouth, A Happy Child: Improving Oral Health Awareness in Children

This continuing dental education lecture is organised in conjunction with World Oral Health Day 2026 to raise awareness among healthcare professionals of the importance of oral health in children.

The session will highlight the impact of oral diseases on children’s overall health and well-being, drawing on global and Malaysian epidemiological data. Topics will include early childhood caries, oral health milestones in children, common oral conditions encountered in paediatric patients, and the importance of early detection and timely referral.

The lecture aims to enhance awareness among multidisciplinary healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and allied health staff, on the role they can play in promoting oral health and preventing oral diseases in children.
