TZ WOHD-25 ACTIVITIES

The services to offered will include but not limited to; 

1. Oral Health Education and Promotion:
   1. Throughout the week, TDA will host educational initiatives (CMEs) to be offered to oral health professional who will be volunteering at the event, as air these sessions online.
   2. It is intended that, TDA team will cooperate with local schools to implement oral/dental health check-up and education activities and raise awareness among school children and teachers/caregivers.
   3. TDA will conduct sessions at schools/old age homes or any other groups of interest to raise awareness about oral health, proper oral hygiene habits/practices, and the value of preventative care.
   4. The Association will use a variety of instructional/educational materials (booklets) and distribute them to community centers, schools, centers for individuals with special healthcare needs and health facilities.
   5. Mass campaign to increase oral health awareness through TV and Radio and social media in general (multiple sessions will be aired during the week-long)
2. Oral/Dental Care Outreach Program:
   1. TDA will offer on-site dental services in underprivileged communities using mobile dental chairs or existing healthcare facilities in Mtwara (for national commemoration). Other regions in Tanzania mainland and island will also do regional activities.
   2. Provide preventive and basic dental care, including as cleanings, dental screening, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
   3. The oral health professionals will volunteer to provide comprehensive dental care (fillings, extractions or minor surgical procedures).
