WOHD Hospital Awareness Stall

The South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust Mouth Care Team ran a stall in the hospital restaurant to raise awareness of the importance of keeping our patients' mouths clean, and practical advice on how to do this. We encouraged staff to tell us how they feel when they haven't brushed their own teeth, to fill in a quiz to test their knowledge of the links between oral and general health, and to take selfies with our smiley sticks. There were freebies to be had! Information was also shared across Trust social media and bulletins, making sure all staff heard about the day and had a chance to complete the quiz.
